One Mile at a Time....We will fight Leukemia!!!!

Hello Friends!!

Thanks to wonderful people like you, I raised $4,655 for Team in Training and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I also completed by first marathon in Anchorage, AK in June, 2001!!

SO WHY STOP THERE!! In July, I made a another commitment to raise funds to help cure leukemia, lymphoma and other blood related cancers. I signed up to run the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC and raise $3,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training (TNT) program is dedicated to help find a cure for the number one killing disease of children: leukemia and its related cancers: and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. To help accomplish this goal, I have a personal goal of raising a minimum of $3,000 over the next 3 months, while training to participate in a half marathon (13.1 miles) in Columbus, OH on 10/21/01, and a full marathon in Washington, DC on 10/28/01.

The Central Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society covers 38 counties in Ohio, and is one of 58 chapters nationwide. As of June 2000, over 600 TNT particpants have raised over $2 million in Central Ohio to support the programs of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. One of the direct impacts of this funding: Survival rates for children suffering from leukemia in 1960 were 4%......today the survival rate is 79%!!!!!

So how can you help???

As I mentioned, my personal goal is to raise a minimum of $3,000 for this program. In order to do that, I need to count on your genorosity!!!!! To learn how you can help, please go to the DONATE link on the left side of this page.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!
